Ich wollte ja schon immer diese neue Rubrik eröffnen über all die Kleinigkeiten, die hier anders sind... immer nur kurz mal was reinstellen...
So, this is the first post about what I always wanted to do: write about the small differences which I´ve experienced so far in Japan... Just some things which make us wonder or which we are not used to... ;)
so here we go:
1) washing machines wash with cold water ==> result: the laundry doesn´t get clean unless you wash for several times...
- but still I´ve heard that some people´s laundry shrinks - how could that be!??? ;)
P.S.: Another quiz: ;) Who can tell me why!???? What´s the reason in washing with cold water!???
Die japanischen Waschmaschinen waschen tatsächlich mit kaltem Wasser und zumindest die in unserem International house auch nur ca. 20 min... also nix mit sauber... Da kann ich die Wäsche auch gleich einmal kurz durch die gefüllte Wanne ziehen...

Climate warming must be the reason. Preventing heating the atmosphere by washing with room temperature water. :-)
Very responsible, not for nothing it's named the Kyoto protocol after the historical Japanese city ;-)
